Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) Legislative Caucus Chairman, Senator Nathaniel F. McGill has disclosed that the party will be back in power 2029.
Senator McGill made the statement recently at the party headquarters in Congo Town during an engagement with partisans and well-wishers.
He said Liberians have already started missing former President George M. Weah due to his numerous contributions within the country.
Senator McGill said there are people who believe that CDC and their partisans have given up, but they will be surprised when the party regains power in 2029.
“The battle has just started and people may believe that 2029 is far, but we were in power before and we’re going back in 2029,” Senator McGill maintained.
He said it was good for CDC to give then opposition Unity Party (UP) the opportunity get state power to expose their ineptitude, considering that within less than 100 days there has been lots of mistakes.
According to him, if there was another election held today, CDC will beat UP, urging partisans and supporters not give up on the party.
“As Chairman of CDC Legislative Caucus, we will keep the feet of this government to fire and make sure because our mission to change Liberia has just begun,” he noted.
