Bushrod Island Water System Down

The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) has announced the outage of the water system in the Bushrod Island Communities due to problems on the major waterline feeding the area.

The LWSC in a release posted on its Facebook page said that the lack of water supply to Bushrod Communities will last for a while as the facility happens to be the second main water transmission infrastructure in the country.   The 16 Inch transmission, responsible for supplying the entire Bushrod Island, is down due to construction activities by the individuals mentioned.

In upper Caldwell, Mr. Olufemi S. Briggs constructed a fence over the 16 Inch Pipeline while Cllr. Johnathan Massaquoi is persistent in constructing a structure on the 16 Inch Pipeline.

The LWSC said the decision of both individuals to construct on the visible 16 Inch transmission pipeline is a grave concern. “We are engaging both individuals for their respective damages and relevant authorities for swift actions to protect the Country’s Infrastructure,” the LWSC said.
