Boakai-Warns-Drug-Dealers

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has issued a stern warning to illicit drug dealers in the country, saying they have his government to contend with.

Speaking recently at the graduation ceremony of 127 rehabilitated youth at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, President Boakai said dealers of drugs have taken an unsavory career in tempering with and polluting the vulnerable minds of the youths and children but they will have to contend with his government this time around.

He said as drug dealers persist in their nation-breaking trail of distracting the youths, which amounts to tempering with the future and destiny of the nation, the Government of Liberia will equal its challenge by leaving no stone unturned in making life miserable for them by destroying their wicked plans.

“This is war; let the drug dealers understand that they are in the same skin as heartless criminals, committing crimes against humanity by disorganizing the future of the nation’s future generations,” the Liberian said.

He said his government will ensure that going forward, those involved in the drug business should expect to fight against every legal tool and means available.

The Liberian Leader said drug dealers must be seen as enemies of the people and nation that deserve no place in Liberia.

“Why we fight the supply side, we have vowed to pay no less attention to the demand side,” he said.

President Boakai said his government will invest in both recuing the victims and supporting those who go to reduce drug demand.

“We will spare more resources in our endeavors to confront our enemies and reclaim our youth at-risk,” he stressed.
