The City Court of Monrovia has charged Rivercess County Senator Bill Twehway with Criminal Mischief after failing to appear before the court based on a Writ of Summon against him and former Miss Liberia Verolyn V. Vonleh.

The Monrovia City Court had issued a Writ of Summons against Senator Twehway and Miss Vonleh for failure to pay rental debt in the tone of US$3,500. Magistrate Barco summons on the Grand Bassa County Senator grew out from an Action of Debt case prayed for by state lawyers through Madam Priscilla Dennise Adutwum on November 21, 2024, and was ordered to appear yesterday, November 26, 2024.

Twehway, according to the complainant, rented her house for Vonleh but has refused to pay the US$ 3,500 he owes for the rent due to damages caused on Madam Adutwum’s house. Magistrate Barco’s decision is based on the complainant who alleged that Twehway owed her US$3,500 after making several demands and appeals to pay the debt. Twehway is liable for Action of Debt; as such, the court finds him liable and mandates that all Madam Adutwum expenses and cost of court be paid back to her.

Magistrate Barco Summons reads: “You are hereby commanded to summon the living bodies of Bill Twehway and Verolyn V. Vonleh, DEFENDANT/S, to appear before the Monrovia City Magisterial Court, Temple of Justice on Tuesday the 26″ day of November A.D. 2024, at the precise hour of 2:00 P.M.to answer to the ACTION OF DEBT; PLAINTIFF in which it is substantially Priscillia Denise Adtwum complaint of alleged of all which plaintiff stands ready to prove.”
