APM Terminals continues to demonstrate its commitment to youth development as it renews sponsorship for the YMCA Annual Children Vacation Sports Program. This partnership, which began with the company’s support of the program’s last two editions, has grown in scope each year, allowing more children to benefit from the wide range of activities offered, a release said.
The program, which targets children aged 6-18, provides participants with the opportunity to engage in various activities such as basketball, computer literacy, cultural exhibition, arts and crafts, and leadership training. This year, APM Terminals Liberia has taken an even more inclusive approach by incorporating dependents of its employees and beneficiaries of its scholarship program into the initiative.
“We are proud to continue supporting this program and to further integrate our internal and external initiatives, fostering an environment of growth, learning, and capacity building for the next generation,” said Ms. Natasha Akakpo, Corporate Social Responsibility Chairperson at APM Terminals Liberia.
By expanding its sponsorship and aligning it with employee engagement initiatives, APM Terminals Liberia is playing a vital role in equipping young people with the skills and experiences necessary for future success, ensuring that the program’s positive impact continues to grow year after year.
The YMCA program remains a beacon of opportunity, providing recreational and educational activities while empowering children with life skills that will serve them well into adulthood. APM Terminals Liberia is proud to be at the forefront of this important effort.
