The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Grand Cape Mount County Detachment, has arrested a suspect for illegal possession and transportation of narcotics. According to a press release, the arrest took place on Thursday, February 19, 2026 during a routine search operation at the Bo-Waterside Port of Entry.

The suspect, Bubakar Jalloh, is an 18-year-old young man who resides in Caldwell, Montserrado County.  He was found in possession of 480 packs of Tramadol concealed inside a blue, red, and white Toyota Mini Bus bearing license plate number BA-6936.

The release states that the seized narcotics have an estimated street value of L$12,666,654, equivalent to approximately US$66,666.6. The suspect is currently undergoing investigation. The LDEA urges the public to continue assisting in the fight against drug trafficking by reporting any suspicious activity.
