The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), Rivercess County Detachment, has arrested two Liberian nationals in a major anti-drug operation involving illegal narcotics and live ammunition. According to a release dated Tuesday, February 18, 2026, on February 17, at approximately 6:00 PM, LDEA officers assigned to the Boegeezay Checkpoint intercepted and arrested Teah Toe, 54, and Anthony Kollie, 45, while they were traveling from Nimba County to Rivercess County.

During the operation, officers discovered and seized 40 kilograms of Marijuana, along with 72 rounds of live ammunition.  The seized drugs carry an estimated street value of LRD 760,000.00\, equivalent to approximately US$4,000.00.

Both suspects are currently in LDEA’s custody in Rivercess County as investigations continue. They will be formally charged and forwarded to court upon the conclusion of the investigation, in keeping with Liberia’s Revised Drug Law, which classifies such offenses as non-bailable. The LDEA urges the public to continue assisting in the fight against drug trafficking by reporting any suspicious activities.
