The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has intensified its nationwide crackdown on illicit drugs, maintaining its zero-tolerance stance against drug trafficking and abuse. According to a press release, LDEA officers arrested a 49-year-old woman identified as Cole in a plain view operation on November 5, 2025. The suspect was found in possession of 644 grams of marijuana, valued at LRD 12,236.00.
The release disclosed that the suspect is currently undergoing investigation and will be formally charged and forwarded to court for possession of narcotics, a non-bailable offense under the new drug law of Liberia. LDEA says it remains steadfast in its mission to rid communities of illicit drugs and ensure that perpetrators face the full weight of the law.
