The reported death in police custody of Yarkpawolo Moisemah and the mysterious dissappreance of Fesseh Aggrey in Lofa County have been brought to the attention of the House of Representatives by a member of that august body. In a communication to his colleagues, Representative Gizzie Köllince of Lofa County expressed concern over the death of Moisemah, who was reportedly killed while in police custody in Voinjama City and the disappearance of Aggrey in Konia Town.

Representative Köllince called for immediate clarity and accountability from the Justice Minister, Oswald Tweh and Police Inspector General, Gregory O.W. Coleman relevant to the incidents He said his communication seeks to ensure transparency and justice in both cases, and restore public confidence in Liberia’s law enforcement institutions.

In the wake of the complaint, the House of Representatives has cited the Minister of Justice and the Inspector General of the Liberia National Police to appear before full plenary on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.  Additionally, the House has also mandated the appearance of the Voinjama Police Depot Commander and the officer linked to the death of Little Yarkpawolo.

The House emphasized that these matters are of national concern and require urgent attention to uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens, especially children.  The invited officials are expected to provide detailed reports and respond to inquiries from lawmakers during the scheduled plenary session.
