A senate joint committee, comprising the Committees on Public Works; Concessions & Investment; Transport; Ways, Means, Finance & Budget; Public Accounts & Audits; and the Judiciary, is expected to conduct a public hearing on the proposed road concession agreement. He hearing takes place in the chambers of the Senate beginning today.

The proposed agreement is signed between the Government of Liberia and PAVIFORT AL ASSOCIATES, INC on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the Chambers of the Liberian Senate. The agreement, received from the Executive Branch in July 2025, covers asphalt pavement over a five-year period of the following road corridors with total length of 255 km at a cost of approximately US$364 million. The road pavement from St. Paul Bridge to Klay, Bomi County; Klay to Bo Waterside; Klay to Tubmanburg, Madina to Robertsport; and Voinjama to Mendikorma.

The project will be executed under a Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) arrangement: The Minister of Public Works & Rural Development, the Minister of Finance & Development Planning, the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Transport, the Chairman of the National Investment Commission and the Executive Director of the Public Procurement & Concessions Commission have been cited to the public hearing to provide additional information and justification why the Senate should ratify and approve the proposed road concession agreement.
