On the Class Reloaded during the weekend in Monrovia, Deputy Minister Designate for Urban Affairs at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Fatima Sirleaf, addressed the ongoing debate surrounding her credentials. She expressed her belief that the scrutiny of her credentials is merely a distraction tactic to divert attention from the government’s developmental initiatives.

‎‎According to Sirleaf, the focus on her credentials is a deliberate attempt to silence her from speaking about the positive work being done by the administration. She believes that those questioning her qualifications are motivated by personal agendas, particularly those who may have aspirations for the presidency in 2029. ‎‎Sirleaf urged Senators to verify her credentials and put an end to the distractions.

Sirleaf said she is committed to serving the public in her role as Deputy Minister of Urban Affairs when confirmed by the Liberian Senate. ‎‎ “As we navigate through these challenging times, it is important to stay focused on the issues that truly matter. Let us not be swayed by distractions and instead support those who are working tirelessly to improve our communities,” she stressed.
