The Deputy Director for Administration at the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA), Helena M. Doe-Knuckles has officially resigned from her post, effective August 15, 2025. Writes Contributor Rufus Divine Brooks, Jr.  Her departure leaves a significant leadership vacuum at the Authority.  Appointed by President Joseph Nyumah Boakai in 2024, Madam Doe-Knuckles tendered her resignation to LAA management, which has acknowledged its receipt.

While the LAA has not publicly disclosed the reasons for her departure, credible sources close to the matter have disclosed that a deteriorating working relationship between Madam Doe-Knuckles and other senior managers, including the Managing Director, played a central role. These insider reports paint a picture of a growing atmosphere of mistrust, administrative friction, and alleged financial mismanagement among top LAA executives.
