The Minister of Health, Dr. Louise Mapleh Kpoto, and the Director-General of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia, Dr. Dougbeh Chris Nyan, met in audience with the Regional Director for West Africa for the Africa Center for Disease Control (CDC), Dr. Kokou Alinon, at the Ministry of Health in Congo Town.
The visit is in line with the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) regular visitation to Member States and a regional workshop on Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) that is being hosted by the Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia with funding from the Africa CDC.
The Ministry of Health and the National Public Health Institute of Liberia remain committed to engaging their counterparts in continuous collaboration, applying international best practices, and strengthening the public health systems in West Africa.
