Vice President Jeremiah K. Koung urges the youth of Liberia, particularly those in Nimba County, to remain united during and after the upcoming Nimba senatorial by-election. During his community engagement tour on Tuesday, VP Koung cautioned young people to shun violence, invective, and divisive behavior in their political support.
“As politicians, we often collaborate in Monrovia, and I cannot allow you, as young individuals, to jeopardize your future by engaging in conflict or attacking one another’s families and leaders in the name of defending a candidate. Remember, politics is transient,” he stated.
On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Vice President began his community engagement tour to inspect several projects he initiated while serving as Senator of Nimba County.
During this tour, he broke ground for a bridge project in Nimba District #8 and donated bags of cement to communities in Districts #1, #2, and #8, and also pledged to initiate additional projects across the county starting in 2026.
Throughout his tour, Vice President Koung visited communities including Duo, Kpein, Bunadin, Slarpea, Gbei Sealah, Garr Busie, Garr Dangamon, and Neegbin, among others.
Additionally, he encouraged the citizens of Nimba County to support Hon. Samuel G. Kogar in the upcoming Nimba Senatorial by-election scheduled for April 22, 2025.
