Several citizens in Darblo Clan, Gola Konneh District have benefitted from rice donation by Bea Mountain Mining Corporation (BMMC). The presentation was made on Friday, April 5, 2024
The gesture is part of Bea Mountain’s ongoing Ramadan Rice distribution to citizens, mainly Muslims within its host communities in Grand Cape Mount County.
On behalf of BMMC, the rice was presented to the citizens by the Government and Community Affairs Manager, Mr. Alpaslan Ozbilge and Community Relations Advisor Mrs. Aminata.
According to the BMMC officials, the rice distribution is the Company’s way of identifying with the Islamic Communities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Chairman of the Resettlement Action Plan, Lassana K. Sambola, Chief Imam Hashim Golafaley, Kinjor Youth Chairman, Mr. Winston Korsor, along with the Chair lady received the food on behalf of the town.
The leadership of Kinjor lauded BMMC for always identifying with them during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
It can be recalled on Wednesday, 27 March 2024, BMMC through the Community Relations Department distributed rice to residents of Jenneh Brown, M’baloma, Macca, Jawajei, Deayelle, Blain Jikandor, Malina, Korma, Vai Town, Silent Hill, and Garpu Village among others.
