Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung has expressed gratitude to the United States Government for its ongoing support to Liberia. VP Koung acknowledged the recent donation of uniforms to the Liberia National Police (LNP), aimed at enhancing the appearance of LNP officers during their crucial law enforcement duties.
During the ceremony on Thursday, September 26, 2024, where assorted items were donated to the LNP by the US Government, VP Koung thanked the US for its generosity and urged LNP authorities to establish mechanisms for maintaining the donated items.
Attorney General and Justice Minister Cllr. Oswald Tweh, along with Police Inspector General Gregory Coleman, also commended the US, particularly Ambassador Mark Torner, for their technical support in strengthening the LNP’s operations.
Mr. Coleman, who received the donation on behalf of the LNP, assured that the items would be utilized for their intended purposes.
Sally Schneider, Head of the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Association (INL), presented the assorted items, which included office equipment and stationery, on behalf of the US Government.
