President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has relieved with immediate effect James Armah Massaquoi of his post as Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Education.
According to an Executive Mansion release, Mr. Massaquoi was dismissed for administrative reasons. An Executive Mansion release said the Liberian leader has appointed Nyekeh Y. Forkpa to replace Massaquoi as Deputy Minister for Administration pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
The Liberian Chief Executive expressed confidence that Forkpa will execute his duties with diligence and loyalty to country. President Boakai’s dismissal of Mr. Massaquoi comes days after a cabinet meeting in which he told his lieutenants that anyone he sacked would not return to his government.
