The Administration of the Liberia National Police (LNP) has with immediate effect suspended two of its officers for one month without salary for abuse of authority and disobeying lawful orders.
The suspended officers are, Patrolmen Teddy R. C. Boulner (ID# 6351) and Gabriel Flomo (ID# 6017) assigned at Zone Five Base Police Station and Lofa County Detachment respectively.
The two officers were seen riding on a motorbike without wearing helmets, which contravenes Section 6.1.3.”Abuse of Authority” and 6.4(a) “Disobeying Lawful Orders,” as enshrined in the Administrative Instructions on Discipline and Professional Standards.
Meanwhile, the suspended officers have been ordered to turn over all government properties including badges, uniforms, ID cards, boots and desist from identifying with the LNP while undergoing their suspension to avoid further embarrassment.
The Liberia National Police cautioned all other officers to take keen note and act accordingly as it will not relent to reprimand any violators of the rules and regulations of the State.
