President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has officially broken grounds for the new Betista Mission in Margibi County as he reaffirms his commitment to the development of Liberia.

During the ceremony over the weekend, the President called on Liberians to begin to think more about infrastructure and human capital developments than concentrating on getting appointed in government.
He added that it is not the title that impacts generations to come but the investment in others that continue to live on.

The construction of the new Batista Christian Mission will be situated on 70 acres of land in upper Margibi County.
According to him, the construction of the new Batista Christian Mission is expected to contain a modern school, administrative complex, guest house, sport patch and other facilities, which must be seen as a new beginning to invest in people.

President Boakai, “It should be the beginning to invest in people. Sometimes when you invest in people and you don’t get the results you expect out of them, never get tired of investing in people because God gets a way of paying you back.”

The Liberian leader stated that in a few days, the country will be turning 177 yeas “And I can tell you, we all will leave this world but it is what you leave behind that matter.”

However, he called on Liberians to begin more human capital investment, rather than fighting to become high profile government officials; stating that if everyone is to become an official in government, there might be no development, and if there is no development, there would be no money to pay officials.

Boakai said it is the government plan to bring in investment to open up the country for citizens to invest.
“If everyone will be official in government, who is going to pay them, where would the money come from? The President asked

President Boakai disclosed that as part of his government ARREST agenda, his administration is going to transform the Booker Washington Institute and have it elevated to a technical college; adding, there is a need for the advancement of education at all levels to directly impact the country and its people.
