President Joseph N. Boakai has disclosed that a number of Korean investors have expressed interest in coming to Liberia to invest in many areas with technical transfer.
Speaking with reporters upon his return from the Korea-Africa Summit in Seoul, South Korea over the weekend, the President said his visit to the summit was not to have a specific meeting, except for the investment forum where he and his delegates met investors that are interested in coming to Liberia to invest in many areas.
According to him, one of the benefits from the investment was scholarship that will help Liberians to study in Korea and Koreans coming to Liberia to do business.
Boakai narrated that the Korea-Africa Summit which was the first of its kind, brought countries from the same continent together to see how they could work and tackle lot of global issues, investment and confidence building in Africa and Korea with their technical knowledge.
Meanwhile, the Liberian leader said the Republic of South Korea through its President Yool Suk Yeol praised the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) for providing logistical support to the Korean Military.
He said in a conversation with President Yeol, the ARREST Agenda was captured for which he (Korea President) pledged his support.
