As calls for the establishment of the War and Economic Crimes Court intensify, Nimba County Senator Prince Y. Johnson says Namibians are angry with the way the President Joseph Nyuma Boakai is leading the country.
Speaking in a leaked audio, Senator Johnson said despite all efforts by the people of Nimba in making Boakai president, top jobs are given to other people from different counties.
Senator Johnson said the president forget that all those he’s appointing from counties like Lofa, Bong, Grand Bassa, amongst others were the same people who voted against him in majority.
The Nimba ‘Godfather’ accused the Liberian leader of doing everything possible to subdue him politically through efforts to ensure the establishment of a war crimes court.
Meanwhile, the senators said his party, the Movement for Democratic Reconstruction (MDR), will not support any candidate of the Unity Party in the ensuing Nimba County Senatorial By-election.
The lawmaker prefers a likeminded person in the Liberian Senate that will support his debate against the creation of the war and economic crimes court.
“UP Candidate Nya D.Twayen, when elected as senator, will support the idea of President Boakai during the debate of war crime court,” he insisted. Senator Johnson said MDR will be supporting the County Inspector for the senatorial by-election. Johnson added that the county inspector is their son and will follow the party rules and regulations.
