The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) has arrested its officer, a police officer and two others with Drugs.
Addressing a news conference on Monday, May 20, 2024, Director General Abraham Kromah said those arrested were Police officer Abraham K Kromah, LDEA Commander Martha Massally, Musa Kromah and Jack Harrison, a Ghanaian fisherman.
Director Kromah indicated that the new LDEA will keep the Liberian people updated as events unfold.
He claimed that these officers have been in the habit of spoiling the reputation of their respective institutions by taking money from people in the name of talking to him on their behalf.
He promised to take the drug fight to every level. “There is no home for drug dealers and my agenda is to kick drugs out of this country.”
According to him. Police Officer Kromah have been appealing to him to take transfer to the LDEA and asking for a rank in the institution.
He disclosed that the LDEA Commander was assigned at the Airfield Police Station. He said the LDEA officer will be suspended for time indefinite while the police officer will be turned over to the police for further investigation.
He said the zombie drugs have been around in the country for the past one year they have been investigating and observing. Director Kromah stated that Jack Harrison has been using his skills to transport drugs from one place to another.
