Friends of Liberia Food and Water Incorporate over the weekend dedicated 200 Wells, covering 200 communities across Liberia.
Friends of Liberia Food and Water Inc. based in Gbatala, was established in June 2021 to help provide clean water and agriculture production of rice in Liberia to less fortunate and much needed Liberian Communities. It is also running a modern Rice Milling and Processing Machine Factory in Gbatala city which is now selling rice, made in Liberia.
Speaking during the program in Gbatala City, Bong County on 11 May 2024, a Liberian Clergyman based in Grand Cape Mount County, Pastor Owusu C. Fofana described the humanitarian works of Friends of Liberia Food and Water Inc.
as a milestone that can start a great conversation that can lead to the unlocking of many opportunities that will see the transformation of Liberia in totality. Pastor Fofana, whose community is benefiting from the free gesture of water supply, is challenging the Liberian government to immediately provide financial support to Friends of Liberia and make it a government priority to see the provision of Clean and Stable Water Supply to its citizens.
Also speaking, representatives of a number of the communities benefiting from the stable supply of clean and safe drinking water, praised the lead Financiers based in the United States, Mr. and Mrs. George for their many assistances to thousands of Liberia since 2021.
Many of the speakers, including Mama Galawoloh, City Mayor, Anther Oilmah, Relieving Commissioner, Chief Kerkulah Gbonoquoi, Paramount Chief, Sengbah Kollie, Clan Chief, and John B. Gonkpah all extended thanks and appreciations to Mr. and Mrs. George, who are affectionately knew as Mr. Good Water for rescuing Liberians from the hardship of accessing clean and stable water supply in their towns and villages.
The mainly local government authorities said for too long they have suffered from the lack of clean and stable water supply in Liberia.
For his part, the Chief Executive Officer for Friends of Liberia Food and Water Inc., Rev. Oliver Adams promised that they will continue to provide clean and stable water to the less fortunate and destitute Liberians with the hope of buttressing the efforts of the Liberian government.
Rev. Adams promised that as long as they continue to receive funds from their partners they will ensure that hundreds and thousands of other Liberians benefit from the gesture.
