Two Executive Protection Service (EPS) officers, Jackson Nagbe and Mayo Johnson, have topped a top-notch week-long international security training program in Botswana, southern Africa.
The international security training was conducted by the United States Department of State, Office of Diplomatic Security and funded by the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
The training program was attended by security officials from many African countries.
Liberia, through its EPS agents, came first and second in their respective classes.
The Protective Security Operation Course was conducted at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Gaborone.
In their electronic message back home, the two agents were excited to have topped the class of international security students.
Agents Nagbe and Johnson applauded EPS Director Sam Gaye for his efforts and support towards developing the EPS into a well-trained professional security force.
“We are coming home with flying colors. Liberia came first in the Class, Jackson took first place and I took second place in the entire class, and were awarded best students,” Nagba narrated.
The media officer of the EPS, Philip G. Moore said the new administration of the EPS under Director Gaye is determined to seek training opportunities at home and abroad for agents.
Moore stated that Director Gaye just returned from Israel, also seeking basic and advanced contemporary VIP protection training. The goal is to professionalize the EPS.
