Richard Denteh, the man accused of causing the death of his wife, Lorpu Kollie, has spoken to the media after being taken to court by the Liberia National Police to face trial. Speaking to Ablee-Jay TV’s reporters in Bong County, Denteh said during an argument, he lay on top of his wife but claimed he did not know which part of her body he stepped on. He also alleged that Lorpu Kollie had refused to have sex with him for about a month, which he said often caused disagreements between them.
According to Ablee Jay TV reporter, authorities alleged that Lorpu Kollie, a former resident of Kollitawolah Town in Bong County, died following the incident. She is survived by three children, including her youngest daughter, Fanta Kamara.
The case is now before the court, where prosecutors are expected to present evidence, and Denteh will have the opportunity to respond to the charges. The allegations against him have not yet been proven in court, and the legal process is ongoing. (Courtesy: ABLEE-JAY TV)
