19-year-old Lee Meanyen has been sentenced to 30 years in prison by the 8th Judicial Circuit Court in Sanniquellie, Nimba County, for multiple crimes linked to a violent motorcycle theft attack. The sentencing was handed down on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, following Meanyen’s guilty plea to charges including armed robbery, attempted murder, and aggravated assault.
According to information, the incident occurred at CMC Junction along the Ganta-Saclepea Highway, where Meanyen allegedly violently attacked a motorcyclist with a sharp weapon several times in an attempt to steal his motorcycle.
The report gathered says the victim survived the attack, and Meanyen was later arrested by officers of the Liberia National Police, Ganta City Division. During court proceedings, he admitted guilt to all charges before receiving his 30-year prison sentence.
