The Sixteen Judicial Circuit Court opened its May 2026 Term of Court on Monday, May 11, 2026, under Resident Circuit Judge, His Honour Cllr. Zuballah A. Kizeku, with the high-profile “Yellow Machines” case on the docket.

The case involves former Gbarpolu Superintendent J. Keyah Saah, former Fiscal Affairs Superintendent Anthony Yorkor, former Project Management Committee Chairman Robert Benda, City Lion CEO Omoru Sheriff, and current Superintendent Sam K. Zinnah.

The defendants face multiple charges of Economic Sabotage, Theft of Property, Criminal Conspiracy, Criminal Facilitation, Illegal Compensation for Government Matters, and violations of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) and Public Financial Management (PFM) laws.

Additional charges include Criminal Solicitation and Tax Evasion, all under Liberia’s New Penal Law, Title 26. In total, the court’s docket lists 25 cases: 1 civil case and 24 criminal cases. The criminal docket includes 8 rape cases, 9 drug and substance abuse cases, 3 murder cases, and 1 burglary case.

Attendance at the opening was low. No local county officials were present. Only members of the Local Bar Association, joint security officers, and a small group of jurors witnessed the formal opening of the term.
