A major road construction project at the Chicken Soup Factory Community has commenced. The work is being done by Q Joe Construction Company following the Q24 Company fair. Major Clifford J Nyenpan informed journalists that the road work will take two years, extending from Chicken Soup Factory Junction to Johnsonville. This project is an important step in enhancing road connectivity, aiming for smoother transportation, shorter travel times, and better access for residents and businesses,” he said.

Residents in the Chicken Soup Factory area have expressed excitement and welcomed the government-led development initiative, expressing optimism about the project. In 2025, Public Works Minister Roland Layette Giddings and his lieutenants symbolically broke grounds for the commencement of the Chicken Soup Factory Road Construction Project in Gardnersville.

Addressing cross-sections of residents at the time, Giddings reaffirmed the President’s commitment to the construction of the Chicken Soup Factory Road and other urban community road pavements as part of the Government funded road initiatives.

According to him, the Ministry is under a statutory mandate to execute the President’s Development Agenda under the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID), placing roads as a monumental priority.

Minister Giddings speaking to jubilant residents of the Chicken Soup Factory Community rallied the support of the community dwellers to cooperate with the Contractor Q24 for a successful implementation of the project. Also speaking, Deputy Minister for Technical Services Prince Tambah said the Project is a 4.1 kilometers stretch of concrete pavement, adding that the construction period is twenty-four months.
